That's our honorary race starter, Khambrel Marshall, doing what race starters do: starting the race. He did a lot more as you can see from these photos. We really appreciate Khambrel giving up his Saturday morning to help us out. He always had a smile on his face and a warm greeting for everyone. His presence made this year's run extra-special. If you want to see more of Mr. Marshall, check out the Channel 2 News at 12 noon and 5 PM. |

Not bad company, Khambrel. Maybe I'll be the race starter next year. That's (l to r) Stephanie Roy of Channel 2 news, Khambrel, Wendi Peck, and Shari Sweeney, Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. |
Speaking of pretty girls, that's Khambrel with the Pinkston girls, Jenny and Kathy. | Speaking of more pretty girls, hold it, that's my wife and co-race director, Mariglyn Glenn. |
Maybe not so pretty, race director Stephen Glenn doing what he does best: confuse the listener. | Going downhill even further, that's the announcer Walt Pinkston. Like most everyone else, Khambrel finds him amusing. |
