Steve McKinney (shown here with overall winners Brian Williams and Lisa Armstrong) proved to be one our most popular race starters. Of course, who's going to tell him he wasn't. The kids looked up in awe to receive their ribbons from the Houston Texan's starting center. It turns out the adults did also. Steve was a great sport staying from start to finish and patiently posing for what had to be a record number of pictures with fans and signing autographs. Steve has used the Kick-Off Run as a springboard for his own football commentary show and as a roving reporter on the sideline for games he isn't playing in. Steve is a local boy committed to the local community so we expect to be seeing him around for a long time even after his football career is over. Thanks guy. |
