| As usual, Frank Culbertson showed up when he was most needed. The scheduled race starter, General Charles Bolden was called away to Washington at the last minute so Frank filled in and started the races and passed out the winner's medals. Frank, who was a friend of James, ran in the first run in 1992 and took the run shirt on his STS-51 mission in 1994. This year was only the second time we have displayed the shirt which we had decided to do at 5 year intervals. |
